Before the butterflies: a few things worth checking.

Being excited about a ride and taking its instructions seriously go together. A few minutes of preparation can help you understand what to expect and decide whether an experience belongs in your day.

Use the attraction’s own guidance

Read the posted participation requirements and warnings for the specific ride. Follow staff instructions about seating, restraints, loose belongings, and boarding. A blog, video, or friend’s experience cannot replace those instructions.

Ask when something is unclear

If you’re unsure about a rule or how to store an item, ask a member of the ride team before boarding. Don’t guess or try to work around a requirement. Give staff the time and space to do their checks.

Let everyone choose

Someone in your group may want a different pace or may decide to skip a ride. Make that an easy choice. Agree on where to meet, enjoy different attractions if needed, and remember that being together doesn’t require everyone to ride everything.

Thrill seeking can be thoughtful. Stay curious about the experience, respect the rules that apply, and leave room for the kind of day you actually want.
